TSA to Charge $85 for Trusted Traveler Program -- By The Washington Free Beacon Staff

Air travel could get a little easier for travelers approved through the TSA Pre application program.

The program will allow “pre-approved, low-risk travelers the opportunity to apply for expedited screening at participating U.S. airports,” according to the Transportation Security Administration.

Pre-checked passengers will be able to skip the regular TSA line and will not have to remove their shoes or their jackets. Additionally, they will no longer have to take out their laptops every time they go through security.

U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent residents who have not been convicted of certain crimes can apply to the TSA Pre program for $85.
