GOP leadership needs to take off the gloves in the ring with Reid -- By Allen West, allenbwest.com

Navarrobig_1Years ago, I learned a very valuable lesson from Marine 1st Sgt (Ret) Jim Reinfinger: “If you ever find yourself in a fair fight, it’s all because your tactics suck.” My problem with Republicans — and in this case, Senator Mitch McConnell — is they don’t fight back and highlight all the lying and hypocrisy.

Whenever “Scary” Harry Reid takes to the Senate floor and goes off on one of his delusional rants, Senator McConnell should come right down, verbally kick his arse with the truth and illuminate his duplicitous nature.

The latest instance – all this baloney coming from Senator Reid about a subsidiary of Koch Industries allegedly circumventing sanctions on Iran – even though Reid himself has accepted tens of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from companies that have done exactly that, as the Washington Free Beacon reports.

In true Alinsky mode, Harry Reid and the liberal progressive media have decided to pick the target, freeze it, polarize it, and attack it. How funny there is no mention that the Koch Brothers actually rank somewhere around number 59 on the list of major political donors, while George Soros is way ahead of them.

“The Kochs made improper payments to win contracts in Africa, India and the Middle East,” Reid claims. “And they sold millions of dollars of equipment to Iran, a state sponsor of terrorism.”

Truth be told, Reid has accepted campaign contributions from companies that engage in even more widespread corruption abroad.
The Free Beacon reports, per the Washington Examiner, that Reid has accepted more than half a million dollars in contributions since 2009 from employees and political action committees of companies under investigation for violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
Reid has also taken tens of thousands of dollars from companies that, like Koch, have done business in Iran through foreign subsidiaries, including General Electric ($25,500 in PAC contributions), Hewlett-Packard ($14,500 in PAC contributions), and Sony ($14,500 in PAC contributions).
Reid has also taken $26,000 from Boeing’s PAC. The company is currently trying to reestablish its presence in Iran even though the country remains on the State Department’s list of state sponsors of terrorism.
The hypocrisy from the Left is truly laughable – which is why the term “chuckleheads” is so apt. Consider right now the “enhanced interrogation tactics” report sanctioned by Senate Intelligence Committee Chair Senator Dianne Feinstien. All of a sudden we find Democrats — like the clueless Nancy Pelosi — acting aggrieved about instances of “torture” and how they feel the reputation of America is tarnished. Well, what they fail to mention is that they were all briefed on this program and its tactics, and back then didn’t say a peep. It’s all politics, Alinsky-style. And clearly Barack Obama has done more to damage our reputation globally than any interrogation tactics could do.

One of Speaker John Boehner’s favorite sayings was “you don’t get into a pissin’ contest with a skunk.” I agree Mr. Speaker, you shoot the skunk.
